Security Tools

Networking and Information Security  provides the following tools to help Texas A&M administrators secure their machines and keep the campus protected from attacks:

• Filex File Distribution System
  The secure way to transfer files. 
• PGP Encryption
  Recommended whole disk encryption product for Windows computers. 
• SSN Scanning tools
  Recommended tools to scan for Social Security Numbers.  
• Firewall.tamu.edu
  View current firewall settings for hosts you own.
• Scan.tamu.edu
  Perform a vulnerability scan against hosts you own.
• NetSQUID
  Automatically isolates virus and worm infected machines in residence halls. This is also available for campus administrators.
