Security Tools

Networking and Information Security  provides the following tools to help Texas A&M administrators secure their machines and keep the campus protected from attacks:

  • Firewall.tamu.edu
    View current firewall settings for hosts you own
  • Scan.tamu.edu
    Perform a vulnerability scan against hosts you own
  • NetSQUID
    Automatically isolates virus and worm infected machines in residence halls. This is also available for campus administrators.
Legacy Tools
The following tools were originally developed by Networking and Information Security and are no longer supported or maintained.
  • Netlog
    Detected intrusion with a set of network monitoring programs
  • Tiger
    Scanned a server for vulnerabilities
